Protect your family from rising energy prices!
The price of electricity is certain to rise. The price of the electricity from your own Solar Electric System will never increase!

How it Works
Solar cells are made of photovoltaic materials (typically silicon) that produce a small voltage and current when exposed to light. A multitude of these cells are connected in arrays inside each solar panel by the manufacturer. A multitude of solar panels are connected in arrays in a typical PV system by the installer according to the desired voltage and current. There are 2 basic types of Solar Electric (PV) Systems:

Grid-Tie: These systems must be connected to the utility company’s power grid. There are no batteries or other energy storage. The DC solar power is converted to AC by an “inverter” that is synchronized and connected to a building’s electric service thereby reducing the net amount of power drawn through the utility company’s meter and resulting in a lower power bill. Grid-Tie systems will not provide power at night or during power outages, but are the most cost-effective type of solar electric system.

Off-Grid: As the name implies, these systems do not need to be connected to the utility company’s power grid. The PV array is used to charge batteries. The batteries power DC loads such as motors and lights and/or power inverters that convert the DC power to AC power. Off-Grid systems will cost more than Grid-Tie systems due to the cost of the batteries, but have the advantage of providing power in remote locations, at night or during power outages.
