Off-Grid Solar Project in Africa Jurunku Village School - The Gambia

In April 2009, we provided and installed an off-grid solar electric power and lighting system in the village of Jurunku in the African nation of The Gambia.

The system provides power for LED lighting and laptop computers for the classrooms. Since there is no electric grid in the surrounding area, the school is able to raise money by charging cell phones and other devices for visitors and locals.
