    1. Evangeline Anderson says:

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says I d rather be writing Honk if you see her She is thirty something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci fi erotica steadily ever since.

    1. DNF at 52%. Just not my kind of romance. (view spoiler)[Was not in the mood to read about a H that had a woman he loved before (view spoiler)[One that committed suicide due to rape by another man (hide spoiler)], placed with a virgin h. I also prefer not to read about a H's past escapades with ow. (view spoiler)[ “H-how do you know what feels good to a woman?” Krisa asked in a breathless little whisper. Teague shrugged again and gave her his white smile. “I know what they’ve told me, wha [...]

    2. Explosive sexual excitement -- demure heroine -- classic science fiction adventure -- it's all good! This book really changed my mind about the quality of erotic fiction on the internet. I thought it was all nasty, sleazy stuff about evil people doing bad things. (Read OFFICE SLAVE by JW McKenna for a perfect example of what I mean.) But PLANET X is different. The heroine in this story is so innocent and sweet she could really be Audrey Hepburn -- if Audrey made movies like BARBARELLA. Teague the [...]

    3. This is weirdly well-done. I shouldn't even say "weirdly". Who's to say a sci-fi romance about a virgin making her way through an alien jungle with Riddick from Pitch Black can't be good? The plot is pretty straight-forward. What I found surprisingly impressive here is that at every moment where a mediocre author would have had the heroine make some stupid decision for unclear reasons, this author did not. You know that thing in many, many romances where the alpha male hero tells the heroine "Do [...]

    4. bookslifewine/r-planet-x/Please Note: This book's rights have reverted to the author. If you decide to purchase this book, please make sure you are NOT purchasing from Ellora's Cave. bookslifewine/r-planet-x/Have you ever watched the movies Pitch Black or The Chronicles of Riddick starring Vin Diesel? I want you to close your eyes for a moment. Imagine the main character from those movies. Think about Riddick's defining characteristics. Think about how the movie Pitch Black opens with the meetin [...]

    5. Wow, what a surprise this book was. I had seen a review from a Goodfriend about this book that sounded interesting and ended up starting it directly afterwards. So glad I did. Krisa is a bride to be bought by an older man when she was 13 but not given to him until after all her training on being a good and submissive wife is done. On the way to her fiancee she sees Teague a prisoner being returned to prison after he escaped. Their space ship crashes, he takes her with him to keep him safe and th [...]

    6. More like Planet XXXThis book has been sitting on my Kindle 4ever, and with a super-busy week, I needed a read that reliably wouldn't use much brainpower. Well, I got that right. I had forgotten how annoying I find Anderson's dumb but well-endowed heroines with the innocent and naive schtick. Even Anderson's trademark dirty talk erotica didn't resonate; she has written better. Planet X did live up to its name, though, with the uninhibited natives. What saves this book is the changing environments [...]

    7. I was a little disappointed in this one. Was really hoping to like it better than I did. I had a problem feeling a connection between the H/h, Teague and Krisa. Teague is a convict who was being transported on the same ship that Krisa was on, who was heading to her future husband's planet. The ship crashlanded on Planet X, a jungle planet inhabited by cannibals and very intelligent wildlife. While waiting to be rescued, they encounter dangerous wildlife and cannibals as they are making their way [...]

    8. Very good book. The first I read from Evangeline Anderson, and it gives me the envy to read more of her novels. In this book, we can follow the heroin who grow and take another dimension in her behavior. The story begin with a kind of little girl and finish with a woman.I didn't expected the end happy ending but strange one I cry when I read the last chapter.

    9. 3/5; 3 stars; BI'm glad one of my friends recommended this book because I had pretty much written off this author. This book had some space adventure, some humour, and a fairly slow developing romantic thread (slow for sci-fi romantica). Usually Anderson's heroines annoy me because they dither and tend toward TSTL but this one half a brain. Awesome!

    10. I’m almost a little surprised at how much I enjoyed this simple and straightforward tale of innocent virginal girl and bad boy hook up. There’s nothing profound about it, and it has the usual Evangeline-campiness to it, but the characterization worked for me.Krisa is a young woman on a journey to meet her betrothed on another planet. Unfortunately for the very young and beautiful Krisa, though he’s rich and powerful, he’s also quite old and not exactly the nicest guy. Certificate of virg [...]

    11. 4 starsThis was a very good story. I really liked Krisa and Teague and the plot was pretty good and kept things interesting.Krisa was raised in in a secluded boarding school and is off her home world for the first time. She's on her way to meet her future husband, Lord Radisson. When boarding the space transport she encounters a man unlike anyone she's ever met. A feral man named Teague who is dangerous but stirs her curiosity and interest. Teague is what's known as a feral. He was raised a slav [...]

    12. Krisa the annoying wimp and Teague the arrogant fool.DNF at 60%The reader, William Martin, was fine. But the book drags on and on and onI won't star it cause of the DNF. Krisa comes from a planet that sells girls as brides. They are kept sheltered on purpose and fitted with a chastity chip that will be activated when received by their groom. Krisa was sold when she was 13 and is now ready to meet her new hubby, some wealthy powerful old guy. On the same transport ship, is Teague, a (another) sla [...]

    13. This was another great book from Evangeline Anderson and longer than her usual stories. She is the queen of sci-fi erotica. The alien world she creates are so original as are the creatures/peopleyou kinda feel like you're right there along side Teague and Krisa. He's so sexy and has such a dirty mouth. It's too bad that it took so long for Krisa to clue ine is innocent to a fault. There was so much buildup that I was a little disapointed with the speedy endinged more details. Whatever happened t [...]

    14. Read this a while ago so my review won't be very detailed. But first of all—oh wow. OH HOT DAMN; I loved this book! This was my first time reading an erotica with sci-fi elements incorporated and what a nice change! The plot was interesting and engaging and this book wasn't focused solely on sex which I quite liked. Teague was a sexy beast. 'Nuff said on that. ;) I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be looking forward to read Anderson's other books.

    15. My real rating is a 3.5 out of 5 but I rounded up so the book wouldn't be bumped down. It's a very good book, if not a little typical for it's genre. I would have enjoyed if the author had been a bit more elaborate in the science fiction portion of the novel. Their world building was just a tad too bland for my tastes, but then I have been spoiled by some exceptional authors so I didn't let that affect my review too much. I thoroughly enjoyed the smut, smuttiness level 10 out of 10. I knew what [...]

    16. WOW! I didn't expect to enjoy this book THIS much. I couldn't put it down and read it all in one very long day!Krisa comes from "Bride Planet" and has been taught since the age of 12 to be the perfect wife. She is bought and paid for by a very rich old man on another distant planet since she was 13, but has had to wait eight years to make the journey to see him. On her way there, she meets Teague - a blindfolded prisoner who she is led to believe is a callous murderer.I won't say more of the plo [...]

    17. Not my usual type of read, so I'm a bit unsure how to rate this. I wonder if all books in this genre are so corny, because the plot to this was exceptionally corny.Krisa has been bred off a planet noted for churning out Stepford wives who will never cheat. On board a luxury ship bound for her husband by contract's planet, she meets an alien convict who's bound and blindfolded in the cargo space. (Really? A convict who's held in the cargo container, and not even in a cage? And why wasn't he put i [...]

    18. Well Krisa is a bride to be. Raised to be the bride of a Lord. The richest one on Lynix Prime. But while on a travel ship she sees a criminal Teage, chained to a wall, blindfolded and she is interested. She is also innocent in every way She tripps and falls on him, he gets her scent and she knows he has scented her. Ferals pick the mate for life thru scentShe sneaks out of her room at night and talks to him. Takes him water. removes the blind fold, she has to see his eyes. they are silver, or bla [...]

    19. Stars: 4Overall: Krisa has just completed her training at he Briar Rose Academy and is one her way to meet her new husband ( who bought her ). When she first boards the ship, she is introduced to a captain that is escorted a very dangerous criminal to the Deep Freeze. When Krisa lays eyes on him, she is over come with curiosity and something she can't put a finger on. After a week aboard the ship and an unlikely conversation with the dangerous man, she goes to bed and awakes to find out that the [...]

    20. LOLLOL - I did a search for a SciFi erotic romance with the word 'planet' in the title. This book's blurb sounds so crazy and hilarious I have to try to read it! I wonder if the author challenged herself to put as many romance themes in one book! Historical dukes and titles- check, virgin heroine-check, SciFi-check, paranormal- check, spaceship- check!!!!============WTF did I just read? That is the strangest story ever. It had a lot of erotic tension and buildup. The world building was actually [...]

    21. OK, Planet X was one of my earlier Ellora's Cave reads way back when (hysterically by accident; see "spoiler") so it holds a special place in my, uh heart (yeah, that's it).But seriously, I've re-read this several times over the years which is very unusual for me. I generally don't care for the young, virginal heroine who, for whatever reason, is helpless and at the mercy of everyone else. But it works well in this story and serves to augment Teague's protectiveness. Plus, Evangeline Anderson di [...]

    22. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't wow'd by it either. It just didn't get my gears spinning. There wasn't anything really wrong with it. I think it was because of how it felt like a historical romance wrapped in a scifi shell (there is probably a better word for this but it's escaping me at the moment). All the time and effort spent on setting the image of proper dress, decorum, company, or speech, it wasn't what usually draws me into the story and holds me as a scifi fan. I did like the dream sequence [...]

    23. Wow! I unexpectedly liked this one! The plot was unique and the characters and settings were amusingly outrageous and out of this world (lol!) . I loved Teague (really-he was a very strong male lead!) and Krisa was OK. The ending disappointed since i really expected more - (view spoiler)[ really?! They brought her memory back and unblocked her impenetrable brain block/implant by humping?!!!?? Really?!? (hide spoiler)]Anyways - i liked the book - it was a refreshing read!Btw - why is the cover so [...]

    24. Not bad. When I read the blub and the fact she's a virgin trying to stay that way I rolled my eyes but that usually kills me. But Krisa's reasons for being one and trying to stay that way made complete sense and I applauded her efforts. Despite her naivety and pampered life, she really isn't annoying and does what she can to help. Teague I'm hot and cold on. Sometimes I enjoyed how he took care of Krisa and kept them going and other times was ticked because he kept calling her "little girl" and [...]

    25. Four and a half stars. This story just hit all the right notes for me at the moment--it was cracktastic ;)Sci-fi setting with a sheltered heroine and a very alpha hero. Throw in a crash landing, a dangerous jungle setting, incredibly hot dreams, some possibly scary natives, and some incredibly sensual awakening, and it's a read chock full of my personal catnip.Krisa and Teague's road to an HEA is far from smooth, but Ms. Anderson presents a well-paced, exciting story that had me fanning myself an [...]

    26. I wasn't in the mood for this kind of story (I never am), but this should not reflect on the author. The love story was well paced, unlikely most (if not all) erotic romance. The plot was cute. But I skipped pages on pages, non really interested on what was going on. I blame my weakness for strong women. Here we have a feisty girl, not a woman in any sense of the word. A moral one, in all sense of the word. An other reviewer compared her to Audrey Hepburn. yes, it could be. The Audrey Hepburn of [...]
